Alien scientist David has dealt with disappointment his entire life, but failing to breathe life into the planet Mars is his greatest regret. Out of options and in need of a new home for their people, the alien Caretakers rekindle their plan to inhabit Earth. First they will have to eliminate the human race, including Jess, the only human David holds dear.

Humanity has one final chance at survival. David needs to emulate Earth’s precipitation on Mars. But the catalyst to make it rain lies in the fathomless depths of Earth’s ocean.

The clock is ticking down to humanity’s last hours as Jess and David face a world more alien than either of them can imagine. The sea hides secrets, but some secrets don’t want to be found.

We rattled, cascading and spinning. My sight blurred. My breakfast threatened a reappearance. I closed my eyes and prayed David and Edgar could bring us under control. The tiles rumbled beneath my cheek before we collided to a stop.

My body left the floor before slamming back down once again.

I blinked until I could focus. David lay across the side of his seat, his head dangling near the floor.
“David!” I dragged myself from the unforgiving tiles and sat him back in his chair. His head lolled back, his mouth slightly open. “Oh, God. David, please wake up!”

Pressing my fingers against the side of his neck and his wrists, I sought a pulse. I couldn’t find one, but relief flooded me as his chest rose and fell in a shallow breath. I glanced over each shoulder, and toward the back of the ship, looking for what, I didn’t know.

Why hadn’t the seats come to life and protected us?

I grabbed the edge of David’s chair, pulling him from the seat and into my arms. “David?” I kissed him and ran my fingers along the side of his face. “David, please … ”

I would have felt less empty if part of my chest had broken off and floated away into the abyss. I didn’t care that we’d crash-landed again. I didn’t care that the marine floor was probably more alien than the green planet we’d been marooned on. I didn’t care that the pressure of an entire ocean weighed down on us. And I didn’t care that he left me alone for two years.

He was here. Now. And hurt. I fisted my hands and pushed with my mind. If he needed strength, maybe I could send it to him.

His lashes fluttered. His eyes opened, but didn’t seem to focus. “Jess?”

I gulped back a sob. “Yeah. I’m here.”

He tried to sit up, but frowned and relaxed back into my arms. “Are we okay?”

“I don’t know.”

Now after seeing a little teaser, here is my full review over  Embers in The Sea.

My Review of Embers in The Sea

Jennifer you have done it yet again! Another show-stopper for the books! Embers in The Sea was so much fun to read, I loved it. I was so excited that I was chosen for this blog tour, and I was so excited to hop into Jess's and David's worlds again, I missed them so much! I loved how adventurous this one was. There was such an array of settings, new characters as well as old ones, and plot twists that captivated from the very first page, to the last line. I loved how in this one readers are taken on a wide ride into the depths of Earth, and thrown out in the cosmos. It was so fun to see Jennifer take us one such eye-opening adventure. I also loved seeing David and Jess adulting so much in this one. They both had to make some tough decisions that affected both their futures. As for new characters, I have never shipped colors so much in my life. Ruby and Sliver are the new black people! And don't worry, I didn't forget about our favorite eight-legged friend; Edger. We all know David and Jess would be nowhere if it wasn't for that little guy. He will always be there to get Jess and David out of trouble. And speaking of trouble, those plot twits thought! Jennifer that ending is killing me. I didn't see it coming! This better not be the last I hear from David and Jess again, because I need answers. Jenifer please don't have this be the end, I'll die! Even if it takes you three hundred years to figure it out, even then Jennifer I will be waiting. Embers in The Sea has everything readers have been asking for and more, I just can't wait to see where Jennifer is going to take me next!

If you have never read about or heard of this series before, I highly recommend you do. Like I said before, it is one of my favorite sci-fi reads, and I have loved reading every book. It's okay if you haven't read this series, but if you want to take that intergalactic leap and dive into an out of this world series, here's a peek into the first two installments.

Fire in The Woods by Jennifer  M. Eaton

When a plane crashes in the woods near Jess’s home, the boy of her dreams falls out of the sky—literally.

But David’s not here to find a girlfriend. He’s from another planet, and if Jess can’t help him get back to his ship, he’ll be stuck on Earth with nothing to look forward to but the pointy end of a dissection scalpel. But her father runs their house like an army barracks. and with an alien on the loose, Major Dad isn’t too keen on the idea of Jess going anywhere.

So how the heck is she supposed to help the sweetest, strangest, and cutest guy she’s ever met? Hiding him in her room probably isn’t the best idea. Especially since her Dad is in charge of the squadron searching for David.

That doesn’t mean she won’t do it.

It just means she can't get caught. Helping David get home while protecting her heart—that’s gonna be the hard part.

After all, she can't really fall for a guy whose not exactly from here. As they race through the woods with Major Dad and most of the U.S. military one breath behind them, Jess and David grow closer than either of them anticipated. But all is not what it seems. David has a genocide-sized secret, and one betrayal later, they are both in handcuffs as alien warships are positioning themselves around the globe. Time is ticking down to Armageddon, and Jess must think fast if she's to save the boy she cares about without sacrificing Earth—and everyone on it.

Ashes in The Sky by Jennifer M. Eaton

After inadvertently saving the world, eighteen-year-old Jessica Martinez is ready to put adventure behind her and settle back into the familiar routine of high school.

Though when she's offered an opportunity to photograph the inside of an alien space ship, Jess jumps at the chance. After all, she'd be crazy to turn something like that down, right?

Spending time with David on the ship has definite advantages and the two seem to pick up right where they left off. But when Jess discovers a plot to sabotage David's efforts to establish a new home for his people on another planet, neither David's advanced tech nor Jess's smarts will be able to save them.

Ashes in The Sky is an action-packed, romantic Sci Fi adventure that will leave readers screaming for more.

So now that you know the books, let's meet the wonderful person who is the mastermind behind this incredible interstellar journey...

Meet the Author

Jennifer M. Eaton hails from the eastern shore of the North American Continent on planet Earth. Yes, regrettably, she is human, but please don’t hold that against her. While not traipsing through the galaxy looking for specimens for her space moth collection, she lives with her wonderfully supportive husband and three energetic offspring. (And a poodle who runs the spaceport when she’s not around.)
During infrequent excursions to her home planet of Earth, Jennifer enjoys long hikes in the woods, bicycling, swimming, snorkeling, and snuggling up by the fire with a great book; but great adventures are always a short shuttle ride away.
Who knows where we’ll end up next?

And now time for the exciting giveaway...
