With the arrival of her nineteenth birthday, Princess Kelsea Raleigh Glynn is ascending to her rightful place as the new Queen of the Tearling. Surrounded by enemies, including an evil sorceress of dark magic, the young ruler stands little chance of success. But Kelsea possesses fearsome weapons of her own, including the Tear sapphire, a jewel of immense power and magic. As an epic war draws near, Kelsea's quest to save her kingdom and meet her destiny begins--a wondrous journey of self-discovery and a trail by fire that will make her a legend . . . if she can survive.

 Review

Another great fantasy, another great review. Loved, loved, loved this one. Erika has grabbed my attention that kept me on the edge of my seat with this one. With multiple points of view and a unique writing style, The Queen of the Tearling has built up quite a reputation. There are very different types of characters that you learn about in this one, but I liked how Erika also kept a heir of mystery around a few of them like; the Mace, and Pen. I also loved the Red Queen and Regent as the main antagonists. And I also absolutely loved The Fetch too. A very gripping and past-paced read, The Queen of the Tearling has been one of the best fantasies I've read in a long time, and I can't wait to see where Erika will take me in The Invasion of the Tearling.
