For years, Eon's life has been focused on magical study and sword-work, with one goal in mind: that he will be chosen as a Dragoneye, an apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune.
But Eon has a dangerous secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been masquerading as a twelve-year-old boy. Females are forbidden to use Dragon Magic; the penalty is death.
When Eona's secret threatens to come to light, she and her allies are plunged into grave danger and a struggle for the Imperial throne. Eona must find the strength and inner power to battle those who want to take her magic . . . and her life.

Review

Okay.... give me a second to collect my feels.... I think I'm good, Eon by Alison Goodman was so amazing! I loved it! This one was so full of action, mystery, magic, betrayal, adventure, and girl power, that I'm content in saying that this story has it all. I loved reading about Eon and seeing her find power within herself to accept who she is, and transform into Eona. I also liked the old Chinese feel to Goodman's writing too! Goodman really did a stunning job building up her characters and also portraying the internal and external struggles Eona had to face. I highly recommend this one if you like an action-packed fantasy, and unforgettable adventure! I hope you check this one out, and love it just as much as I do. Eon is a smashing success, and I can't wait to see what happens next!
