Harper Price, peerless Southern belle, was born ready for a homecoming tiara. But after a strange run-in ant the dance imbues her with incredible abilities, Harper's destiny takes a turn foe the seriously weird. She becomes a Paladin, one of an ancient line of guardians with agility, super strength, and lethal fighting instincts. And just when she thinks life can't get any more disastrously crazy, Harper finds out who she's charged to protect: David Stark, school reporter, subject of a mysterious prophecy, and possibly Harper's least favorite person. Things get even more complicated when Harper starts falling for him--and discovers that David's own fate could very well be to destroy Earth.

I absolutely adored this one! Rebel Belle was so good! I loved reading about Harper and her journey of battling the Ephors, figuring out how to fulfill her role as a Paladin, and also tying to live a normal teenage girl life. I also enjoyed seeing her accept her destiny, and also finding out where her heart lies. Hawkins was completely spectacular, with her creative characters and unique polt, any reader would call Rebel Belle a smash hit! I loved reading this one, and can't wait to get my hands on Miss Mayhem!
