IF I AM A SWORD,
I AM A SWORD MADE OF GLASS,
and I feel myself
BEGINNING TO SHATTER.

If there's one thing Mare Barrow knows, it's that she's different.
Mare Borrow's blood is red--the color of common folk--but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.
The crown calls her an impossibility, a fake, but as she makes her escape from Maven, the prince--the friend--who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: She is not the only one of her kind.
Pursued by Maven, now a vindictive king, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red-and-Sliver fighters to join in the struggle against her oppressors.
But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming the kind of monster she is trying to defeat.
Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of the rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal harden her forever?
The electrifying next installment in the Red Queen series escalates the struggle between the growing rebel army and the blood-segregated world they've always known--and pits Mare against the darkness that has grown in her soul.

My Review

Holy!....... I can't..... The tears that a streaming down my face burn with sorrow, hysteria, and frustration. WHY, VICTORIA?!?!?!?! WHY?!?!?! You killed me. I'm dead. I'm dead. I died. I'm dead. I'm dead. This book..... Where do I even begin? Glass Sword was full or heart-racing excitement, on-the-edge-of-your-seat action, and gut-wrenching heart-rending frustration. I loved seeing the twist and turns Victoria put me through, but I'm still frustrated with the ending of this one. It's all just because it ended in THE BIGGEST CLIFF-HANGER EVER! It was big. I need the next installment in my hands, like now! Also, lets all just take a second to appreciate how beautiful Victoria's writing style is. These books are written so smooth and flow-y, they are quite the masterpiece. I also really enjoyed seeing a whole bunch of new characters introduced in this one, with their very unique abilities. And I loved seeing some old characters, which we all though were long gone, make reappearances too. All-in-all I think Victoria did an excellent job with this one. She really 'set the stage' for the next one very well, and she has easily grown into one of my authors. Even though my feels are still fresh in my mind, I highly recommend this series if you haven't started it by now. It's incredible. With electrifying action, romance, betrayal, and power, this is one series you don't want to miss.
